Just a note to let you know that Beth and I are really happy with our landscaping.  Robert and his crew did a wonderful job here.  It is as beautiful as he said it would be.  They not only did the job accurately, but quickly.  They cleaned up the yard and other areas and left everything looking as a professional job should.

We wish to express our appreciation for the work you have done with the drainage and landscaping of our backyard.  When we purchased this home, part of the rehabilitation was to correct drainage and provide landscaping to support the foundation work that was necessary.  Not only did you handle the installation of our sprinkler and drainage systems, but the installation of both sod and flowerbeds gave us a view that we are able to enjoy from our enlarged covered patio.  You took us from dust or mud to a space we can now use.  You listened to our desire for low maintenance plants and flowers and chose plants that have exceeded our expectations.  We appreciate the knowledge and professionalism you exhibited in every phase from initial consultation through completion of the work.

I became a client of "Play 'N' The Dirt Landscape Company through a referral from a friend at work.  I had just purchased my retirement home here in Fort Worth after twenty years in the military.  It was during a very hot summer of mowing the backyard that I decided my retirement years were not going to be spent mowing and edging.  It was then I made the call to Sophie and Carlton.  We set an appointment for a landscape consultation.

When they came to the house to interview for my likes and dislikes, I was prepared with a list of lowers and trees that I loved.  Of course, at that time, I knew nothing about what grows well in Texas yet let alone what needed shade versus full sun.  Nevertheless, Sophie was a wealth of knowledge and guided me through the landscape effort.  Since money was a concern, we put the front and backyard landscaping into 5 phases of execution, which was completed over approximately two years. The only other instructions I gave Sophie was "give me a reason to go out in the backyard."  Well, Play 'N' The Dirt definitely gave me a reason to step into the backyard and the front yard has given curb appeal to my home.  This is how I envisioned my retirement and my home.

Lisa called me today to check me as a reference as you said.  I invited her out to see your handiwork first hand, and she came over.  I told her about the personal touch you give to your clients, how you interview the client to get an idea of what they like, the finished drawings you make, and a little about the maintenance program.  I showed her my album of pictures you took of the house from zero landscape to what I have now.  She was totally blown away.  Such a difference from the run-of-the-mill tract home.  She especially liked the retaining wall in the front, and the flagstone pathway in the back.  I told her about our plans for the birdhouse and water feature.  She's in on water features.  Her parents have one and evidently, a beautiful landscaped yard.  I told her we were on about the 4th or 5th phase of this landscape project.  I even showed her most of my house.  I had spent the whole day trying to clean, arrange clutter, and hide most everything else.  My back is sore from mopping the kitchen.  Boy, am I getting old.  I even did 2 loads of wash!  I should have company everyday.  Well at least the outside of my house looks smashing!!!!  Thanks, Sophie...B. We really want to thank Play 'N' The Dirt for the wonderful job they did bricking in our flower beds!  They were very professional and cooperative.  The brick work looks great!  The crew worked very hard for 3 days.  It was definitely upgraded and added value to our home.  Thank you once again for doing such a beautiful job.

We wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how thrilled we are with our new landscape design and installation.  We were unsure if having our landscaping done for us would  be worth the cost, however our doubts were immediately put to rest when Robert came to us with his design.  Robert was able to listen to our needs, take into account the likes and dislikes of our family, and design something that was perfect for us.

The process moved along quickly and smoothly and we were quite pleased that Robert and his crew were able to finish the installation of our landscaping sooner than he had estimated - even with half a day of rain!  In the 4 months since we purchased this house, our landscaping is the only thing that has been completed on time, as promised, and with such great customer service.

Robert, as I'm sure you are aware, is an asset to your company.  His amazing skills as a landscaper are matched only by his excellent customer service skills and the great care he puts into his work.  We look forward to doing more work with Robert and Play 'N'  The Dirt in the future.
